Welcome
Cats of Eden is a Dutch not-for-profit association dedicated to helping cats and kittens in need on the Azores, Portugal. We collaborate with veterinarians and kind-hearted rescuers and volunteers to actively help pair homeless cats and kittens with foster families and facilitate adoptions abroad. We do this while working towards our goal of opening a no-cage, no-kill cat sanctuary on an idyllic, lush expanse of land on São Miguel, Azores.
How you can help
Become a foster
If adoption is not in the cards, then fostering could be a great option for you. You get to enjoy the companionship of a cat(s) without the long-term commitment. Whether it’s for two weeks or two months, your help makes a huge difference.
Volunteer
Help us pick up cat litter, drop off a cat to the vet, play with the fosters, read them a book, help build cat shelving and catios, shoot a video, join and share our posts on social media, offer to be a flight volunteer. Reach out!
Donate
Our biggest expense is veterinary care. Next to that, it’s litter and food and of course the looming building projects. We also greatly appreciate donations in kind! Blankets, toys, treats, beds - you name it, we need it. Check out our wish list.
