Objectives of the Cats of Eden foundation are:

Rehoming cats and kittens, mainly from the island of São Miguel, Azores, with suitable individuals, mainly, but not exclusively in the Netherlands.
Fostering or arranging the care of special needs or chronically ill animals.
Giving temporary shelter and care of cats in need.
Supporting the development of education and policy for organizations in the Azores with goals similar to those of the Cats of Eden Foundation.
Creating and facilitating adequate accommodation for feral cats on the island of São Miguel, Azores.
Catching, caring for and sterilizing cats on the island of São Miguel, Azores, and returning to their colony if appropriate.
Conducting screening interviews and guiding adopters after adoption.
Support other similar organizations on São Miguel by advising, fostering, collaborating on rescue projects, and donating food and medication where possible.
Transporting food and medication from the Netherlands to the Azores (or to other locations if required).
Collecting money and goods to achieve the above goals.
